You’re diving into a wild mix of collaborative art and strategic combat. In this game, you’re the CAPTAIN of your own TR00PS, and your mission is to out maneuver your opponents, ascend your TR00PS to the coveted PINK EYES status, and claim the ultra-exclusive Rare Sat. You’ll be making tactical calls, positioning your forces on the grid, reviving fallen soldiers, and upgrading their traits with fresh, original artwork from One Penny Piece. The battle plays out over multiple rounds — every move counts, so plan wisely and fight hard! Why are PINK EYES so important? # n0k: GRID WARS — Origins The **GRID WARS** began in the ruins of the **Fiat Collapse**, a time when centralized economies crumbled under their own weight, and the world turned to **digital sovereignty** for survival. In the ashes of the old financial system, **CTRL emerged**, forging a new frontier where only the most resilient and strategic warriors could ascend. The battlefield is an ancient cryptographic grid, once used to inscribe lost knowledge on the blockchain, now repurposed into a war-zone where TR00PS fight for their survival. These warriors, encoded with fragments of old-world resistance, compete for **PINK EYES**, a symbol of ultimate sovereignty. The final battle, fought across \~**1000 Bitcoin blocks**, determines the rightful heir to the **Rare Sat**, the last untainted artefact of the old order. The war is brutal, and survival is not guaranteed. Only those who can navigate the grid with intelligence, sacrifice, and foresight will endure.

# n0k: GRID WARS — The Enlisted The **GRID WARS** are fought by warriors from different factions, each bringing their own unique strengths and histories into battle. The first faction to rise from the depths of **CTRL** was **n0 0rdinary kind**, a resilient collective of warriors who embody creativity, independence and digital resistance. As the battle expanded, **FOMOJIS**, became the first external community to enter the war. Remember, every **TR00P** you mint and deploy increases your chances to win the **RARE SAT** and coveted **PINK EYES**. ## Enlisted Communities Enlisted communities are Ordinal PFP collections that have been elected to be [Captains](/how-to-war/gameplay/selecting-a-captain) in the **GRID WARS.** All Enlisted communities can be found on the [Rare Sat](https://www.ord.io/89290897). Holders of any enlisted community will receive a base allocation of 5 **TR00PS.** This allocation will not stack. Holding multiple PFPs in an address will grant a max allocation of 5 **TROOPS.** Enlisted communities will be able to use KARD Mint Pass bonuses. **Enlisted +** are the selected winners from the raffles performed by each of the Enlisted communities. These winners will have a base rate of 10 **TR00PS** and CTRL will cover 50% of the inscription fee's for the TR00Ps minted. ## The Reserves If you are not a holder of any PFPs from the Enlisted Communities, you are classified as The Reserves. Reservers are eligible to mint 2 **TR00PS.** Reserves will be able to use KARD Mint Pass bonuses. ## KARD Mint Pass Holders who have Mint Pass **KARDS** will be able to mint additional **TR00PS** based on the **total Rank of the KARDS they hold.** For example, holding a **KARD** with value of 6 will be able to mint a total of 8 **TR00PS** (6 bonus + 2). **Jack, Queen and King** **KARDS** can mint an additional 10 **TR00PS, Aces** are an additional 11 **TR00PS**. **Jokers** are an additional 25 **TR00PS.** Mint Pass **KARDS** will stack and add on to your base allocation from the [Enlisted](#enlisted-communities) or the [Reserves](#the-reserves). **KARDS** Collection on MagicEden:

# Gameplay # Battle Schedule The **GRID WARS** flow in Battles that last 7 days.\ Five days of War, followed by a two day [Ceasefire](/how-to-war/gameplay/ceasefire). During the Battle, you will be allowed to deploy **TR00PS** onto the Grid.\ During the [Ceasefire](/how-to-war/gameplay/ceasefire), you will be able to revive, bury, and re-roll traits. ### **Example week:**

# Selecting a Captain * Captains must be selected before deploying **TR00PS** on the grid. * Captains can be any **TR00P** or any PFP from an approved community listed on the Rare Sat inscription here: * **TR00PS** that are chosen as Captains participate in the **GRID WARS** as normal **TR00PS**. They are eligible to earn traits, can die, and can ascend to Pink Eyes. * External Captains do NOT get an extra grid position, do NOT get Rekard strength, do NOT die, and do NOT earn traits. * Captains can only be changed every Battle, before the grid selections are made
# Rekard Strength **REKARD** **STRENGTH** allows your **TR00PS** to gain bonus spots on the Grid, making it more likely to find **PINK EYES**. \ \ The Rank of the **KARD** will determine the amount bonus spots awarded for the **TR00P**. Face **KARDS** receive 10 bonus spots, and Aces receive 11. Jokers are not able to be used for Rekard Strength. Each **TR00P** can equip a max of 1 **KARD** per Battle. Used **KARDS** will be burned in the confirmation transaction when finalizing your **TR00P** deployment. You can equip **REKARD STRENGTH** to a **TR00P** on the individual **TR00P** status page.

# Placing Troops After selecting Rekarded Strength upgrades for your deployment, you can select the grid positions for your troops. Click on the **"POSITION TR00PS FOR BATTLE"** button. There are 10,000 total cells to choose from. The parent grid is 10x10, with each cell containing a child grid that is also 10x10. There is no limit to the amount of **TR00PS** per cell.

Click on a cell in the parent grid to enter the child grid. When inside a child grid, you can click on the yellow back arrow to zoom back out to the parent grid. When in the child grid, you will see an inventory of your **TR00PS** that have yet to be placed. Drag and drop (or tap on mobile) **TR00PS** into any position on the grid.

# Ceasefire The Ceasefire period lasts for 2 days, after the results of the Battle are generated. During this period, you will be able to examine your **TR00PS** to see which have survived, earned traits, ascended to **PINK EYES**, or have perished in battle. The Ceasefire period is the ONLY time you will be able to bury or revive your **TR00PS**.\ The Ceasefire period is the ONLY time you will be able to REROLL the trait earned in that Battle. You will **NOT** be able to deploy **TR00PS** on the Grid during the Ceasefire.
# Revive & Bury If your **TR00P** dies during the **GRID WARS**, you will have 2 options: **REVIVE** or **BURY**
## **Revive** **TR00PS** may be revived during the Ceasefire period in the Round that they die in. Revived **TR00PS** will be brought back to life with the same traits that they have already earned, plus a randomized trait from the Round's category. ## **Bury** If you decide to not **REVIVE** your dead **TR00PS**, you may instead **BURY** them to receive a Death Gratuity airdrop in the form of **N**•**O**•**K Rune.** Burials are permanent and will require the **TR00P** to be burned and sent to Satoshi's address, their final resting place. Each buried **TR00P is** eligible for an equal share of the Death Gratuity Pool, paid in **N**•**O**•**K.**

# Secondary Marketplace **Official MagicEden Collection Link: \[insert link here]** TR00PS may be bought and sold at anytime during the **GRID WARS.** We recommend buying and selling **TR00PS** during the Ceasefire [periods](/how-to-war/gameplay/battle-schedule). **WARNING: If you purchase a TR00P in the middle of a Battle, outside the Ceasefire period, there is chance that the TR00P has already been deployed on the Grid. You will inherit the Grid placement and will be unable to change it for that round.** ### **Metadata Updates** At the beginning of each Ceasefire period, we will update the Status (dead/alive) and Trait Earned for TR00PS on-chain. At the same time, we will also submit a metadata update to MagicEden to update their Trait filters. All **TR00PS** that died will be unindexed from the official collection on MagicEden. They will be added back into the collection if they are [**REVIVED**](/how-to-war/gameplay/ceasefire/revive-and-bury#revive)**.** All **TR00PS** that survive will earn a trait which will be reflected on-chain and on MagicEden. If you **REROLL** a trait, it will not be finalized onchain and MagicEden until the end of the Ceasefire period, when the next Battle begins. \
# Earning Traits
Random traits are awarded to all **TR00PS** that enter Battle. Each Battle has a specific trait category that is awarded. Round 1: Background\ Round 2: Torso\ Round 3: Sound\ Round 4: Dome\ Round 5: Jaw\ Round 6: Bind\ Round 7: Foreground\ Round 8: Binary Eyes If a **TR00P** dies, its trait is revealed only upon **REVIVAL** and cannot be [**REROLLED**](/how-to-war/gameplay/ceasefire/trait-rerolls)**.** Every surviving **TR00P** will instantly earn a random trait and be granted 2 trait **REROLLS**.
